If your Google Ads are not showing, the cause can be anything from a paused campaign to a keyword with almost no eligible searches. Before increasing bids or rebuilding the account, determine whether the problem is eligibility, demand, budget or Ad Rank.
Check campaign, ad group and ad status
Confirm every level is enabled, the start date has passed and the ads are approved. Review policy notices and disapprovals directly rather than assuming a keyword or bid is responsible.
Review keyword status
Keywords can be limited by low search volume, policy, negative-keyword conflicts or match behavior. Use keyword diagnostics and the search terms report when there is delivery.
Look at actual search demand
Very specific keywords may simply have little or no volume in the selected geography. This is common for narrow local campaigns. See our guide to Google Ads low search volume keywords.
Check location and schedule settings
A campaign limited to a small area, narrow hours and specific devices may have few eligible auctions. Make sure these restrictions reflect business needs rather than accidental setup.
Review budget and bidding
Low budgets can limit impression share. Aggressive target CPA, target ROAS or bid limits can also reduce eligibility when the system cannot meet the target. Compare controls with realistic historical performance.
Understand Ad Rank
Even eligible ads do not show in every auction. Bid, relevance, expected performance, landing-page experience and competition all influence whether the ad appears.
Do not search for your own ad repeatedly
Manual searches are not a reliable diagnostic method. Personalized results, location, auction conditions and Google’s systems can make your own ad invisible to you even while it serves to others. Use account diagnostics and impression data.
Check conversion tracking before automated bidding
If bidding depends on conversions, inaccurate or missing conversion data can create poor decisions. Verify the actions being optimized are real business outcomes.
